About Our Institution
Swamy Vivekananda Rural Edcuation Society is a non-profit organisation run by philanthropic individuals
of the farming community from villages around Chandapura. This organisation is established in the year 1963 under
Societies Registration Act, Govt. of Karnataka. It has been serving the society for more than 55 years in the field of
education, upliftment of students belonging to labourers, farmers and other economically backward communities.
With the blessings of his holiness Sri Sri Sri Shivakumara Swamiji of the Siddaganga Mutt, the first institution viz.,
Kannada Medium High School, initiated with a section of about 60 students. Presently, the organisation is spread
over 5 acres of land and caters to about 5000 students pursuing kindergarten to under-graduate courses, with
institutions like Higher Primary School, English Medium High School, ICSE School, Pre-University College and First
Grade College. This is an institution rooted in the tradition and values of our motherland. It aims to empower rural
students through a holistic, meaningful, dynamic and disciplined education.
