About US

Swamy Vivekananda Rural Edcuation Society is a non-profit organisation run by philanthropic individuals of the farming community from villages around Chandapura. This organisation is established in the year 1963 under Societies Registration Act, Govt. of Karnataka. It has been serving the society for more than 55 years in the field of education, upliftment of students belonging to labourers, farmers and other economically backward communities. With the blessings of his holiness Sri Sri Sri Shivakumara Swamiji of the Siddaganga Mutt, the first institution viz., Kannada Medium High School, initiated with a section of about 60 students. Presently, the organisation is spread over 5 acres of land and caters to about 5000 students pursuing kindergarten to under-graduate courses, with institutions like Higher Primary School, English Medium High School, ICSE School, Pre-University College and First Grade College. This is an institution rooted in the tradition and values of our motherland. It aims to empower rural students through a holistic, meaningful, dynamic and disciplined education.

Over a period of time, the demand was cropped up by several sections of the local enlightened community to have central syllabus for their children. This may help them if they are migrated to other states by virtue of transfer or change of work environment etc. Keeping this in mind, the Management of SVRES has initiated this school with ICSE syllabus during the year 2013-14. Presently, there are about 615 students from pre-KG to 10th standard. About 30 qualified faculty members are working in the school as per the requirements of the CISCE Board, New Delhi.

During the year 2017-18 and 2018-19, 100% result has been achieved in the X standard board examination with many students scoring distinction. This was possible with the dedicated work by the qualified and experienced faculty. The school also train the students in yoga, music, gosh and computers with individual attention including excellent sports and library facilities.
